Chiway Repton Kindergarten Xiamen has been on a remarkable educational journey since its establishment five years ago. Rooted in the philosophy of “holistic education”, we’ve created a unique educational model that enriches young learners’ growth.

We’ve integrated the EYFS framework with the IB PYP international curriculum system, all while following the Guideline for Learning and Development of Children Aged 3-6. This integration allows us to carry out transdisciplinary inquiry – based learning, which is at the heart of our educational approach. By nurturing an environment that is open, respectful, and caring, we ensure that each child is not only academically stimulated but also emotionally supported. We place great importance on building active interactive relationships, as we believe they are the cornerstone of a child’s well – rounded development.

For three years, we had the privilege of implementing the IB curriculum in close cooperation with our affiliated primary school, an already authorized IB institution. This experience has been invaluable, allowing us to fine – tune our teaching methods and educational strategies. It has enabled us to gain in – depth insights into the IB educational philosophy and put it into practice effectively in the kindergarten setting.

Now, we are taking a significant step forward. This year, we are independently applying to become a Candidate School for the Primary Years Programme of the International Baccalaureate Organization. We are acutely aware that the journey to becoming an IB World School is both challenging and rewarding. The IB’s commitment to high – quality, challenging international education aligns perfectly with our own educational vision. We’ve been actively engaged in the IB PYP transdisciplinary inquiry learning for a long time, and we’ve seen firsthand the positive impact it has on children. It has cultivated their inquiry spirit and refined their learning approaches, with the ultimate goal of nurturing children who are confident, creative, resilient, cooperative, and caring.

We are confident in our capabilities, having amassed a wealth of experience and developed a professional teaching team. We are eager to be recognized as an IB World School, as we believe it will further enhance our educational offerings and provide our students with even more opportunities to thrive in a global context.

Chiway Repton Kindergarten Xiamen is a Candidate School* for the IBPYP. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy—a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Chiway Repton Kindergarten Xiamen believes is important for our students.

Only schools authorized by the IB Organization can offer any of its four academic programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme, or the Career-related Programme (CP).
